The Ashford

n the drawing rooms of Ironminster Hall, where coal-fired industry met velvet-draped opulence, The Ashford was born. Forged from reclaimed iron beams and aged English oak, this table was originally commissioned by the 4th Marquess of Blackmere in 1872 as a symbol of strength and status. Its riveted steel frame bears the marks of Victorian blacksmithing, while its polished wood top—rescued from a decommissioned railway estate—tells stories of empire and empire’s end. Reimagined for the modern noble, this piece remains a testament to wealth not flaunted, but embedded in every grain and bolt.
